…until I climb aboard a plane and fly around the world for the second time.
The consulate approved my visa and I have my passport back, and the airlines tickets arrived last week.
All that remains is to pack some stuff, maybe pick up a few odds and ends and take care of the usual last minute details any one has before leaving home for a while.
I could almost make this sound routine.
Almost.
And I could almost act like it is routine.
But it isn’t.
It’s a dangerous thing, thinking that you know what to expect, thinking that you have it all figured out already…
When you don’t.
So as I finish preparing and leave in a few short days please pray that I, and the rest of this years Discovery Team as well, focus on being dependent.
Dependent on God…for all things. Dependent on the leadership…trusting their experience and wisdom Dependent on each other… Dependent on you…for your continued prayers and support throughout the summer.
It still amazes me that God would allow me to be a part of something so awesome and challenging.
